Traditional Archery

Led by two experienced archers, Ray Seelbinder and teen lead Grace Ferguson. Complete a qualification seminar to understand the safety and basics of archery then access our weekly indoor archery range. This program launched in April 2018 and sold out immediately. We look to expand the program in the Fall.

Raymond Charles Seelbinder

Was born on July 4th with 8 siblings! He learned to hunt at an early age and insisted on using a bow and arrow at the age of 8. In Michigan, he had a successful construction business and moved his young family to the Roaring Fork valley in 1980. In 1984, Ray bought 35 acres on Cottonwood pass and cut enough dead standing lodge pole pine to construct a log home where he still resides today. He still does some light construction, but has added building cars and trucks to his resume. Ray finds himself helping people out that just plain need a helping hand and we are so lucky to have him teaching the Archery Programs at Rising Crane.

Grace Ferguson

A rising Freshman at Roaring Fork High School started archery at the age of 9. She has lived in the valley her entire life. Along with archery, Grace loves volleyball and the sound of arrows hitting the target. She was inspired by an excellent archer who is also her mentor. Grace is in our leadership program to advance teens and their amazing talents!
